List building is about to get heaps easier with the introduction of a new Facebook Lead Ads Feature.
Facebook is currently in the process of testing lead ads, which will make filling out forms on a mobile device as easy as tap, tap, submit, without leaving the news-feed.
The new ads would allow people to sign up for things like free reports, news letters, follow-up calls, quotes and any other business information right inside Facebook with two clicks. The form is pre-populated with the persons Facebook email address and details, however can be edited before hitting submit.
Facebook says they have still adhered to all privacy rules and information collected can not be on sold.
These ads have been around via a third party apps, but now you won’t have to go through third party to run them.
So what does this mean for you the business owner?
I think it is great news especially when advertising to people on their mobile device. We know that more than 80% of people use their mobile device to access Facebook so it makes sense to make your marketing and sales funnel easier for your clients or potential clients.
However a word of warning, don’t just rely on these ads always run several different ad campaigns and test both. When these new Lead Ads are rolled out you should give them a go but also keep your normal list building ads running as well.
Always test and measure and optimize so you get the best conversions and return on investment.
